1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the website of 1718220 Alberta Ltd., operating as Canadian Contractor Services (“CCS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.
2. Use of This Website
This website provides information about CCS’s construction, renovation, repair, building-envelope, maintenance, insurance-claim, and related contractor services, along with educational content, forms, downloads, and video material produced by CCS. You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes.
3. Our Content
All content on this website—including text, articles, forms, questionnaires, checklists, guides, reports, scopes, technical explanations, diagrams, graphics, photographs, videos, downloads, page designs, software, workflows, original compilations, databases, logos, and educational material—is owned by or licensed to CCS and is provided for general informational and educational purposes. Third-party content, trademarks, standards, laws, building codes, and client-supplied information remain subject to their respective rights and are not claimed as exclusively owned by CCS. Videos published by CCS to its own YouTube channel and embedded on this website remain the property of CCS.
4. Ownership, Permitted Use, and Artificial Intelligence Systems
“CCS Content” means original content and materials owned or controlled by CCS and made available through CCS websites or services. CCS Content is protected by applicable copyright and other laws.
Except where CCS gives written permission, users receive only a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view CCS Content and to print or download a reasonable copy for personal, non-commercial, or project-specific use. Users may link to a public CCS page and may quote a brief excerpt when the use is lawful and the excerpt includes clear credit to Canadian Contractor Services and a working link to the original CCS page.
No person may remove or alter CCS branding, authorship, copyright, content ID, version, metadata, watermark, or source information; falsely claim authorship or ownership; reproduce or republish a substantial part of CCS Content; mirror, rebrand, sell, sublicense, distribute, translate, adapt, or create a competing commercial resource from CCS Content; or use automated means to extract, collect, or compile CCS Content except as expressly permitted by CCS in writing or by CCS’s published machine-readable controls.
Without CCS’s prior written permission, CCS Content may not be used to create or expand a training set, fine-tuning set, retrieval corpus, vector database, knowledge base, benchmark, evaluation set, synthetic-data source, prompt library, or other dataset for an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system, or to train, fine-tune, ground, evaluate, improve, or commercialize such a system. Permission for a search crawler to index a public page does not grant permission for model training, substantial reproduction, republication, or removal of attribution.
A CCS client may use a private AI service solely to help understand an unaltered CCS document for that client’s own project, provided the use does not make the document public, remove CCS identification, breach confidentiality or privacy, or permit the service to use the document for general model training. This limited permission does not authorize reuse of CCS templates, forms, scopes, pricing systems, technical narratives, or business methods for another project or commercial purpose.
Requests for republication, data licensing, AI use, or other commercial use must be approved in writing by CCS. A failure by CCS to block access or object to a particular use is not a waiver of CCS’s rights and does not grant permission for future use.
5. Video Content and YouTube
CCS publishes its own first-party video content to its own YouTube channel and may embed that content on this website. Embedded YouTube content is subject to YouTube’s Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy.
6. No Professional Advice
Content on this website, including videos and articles, is for general information only and does not constitute professional construction, engineering, legal, or safety advice for your specific situation. Always consult a qualified professional before acting on any information.
7. Quotes, Estimates, and Services
Any quotes, estimates, or service descriptions are subject to a separate written agreement between you and CCS. Nothing on this website constitutes a binding offer or contract.
8. Third-Party Links
This website may contain links to third-party websites or embedded third-party content. CCS is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites.
9. Limitation of Liability
CCS provides this website “as is” and makes no warranties regarding its accuracy, availability, or fitness for any purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CCS is not liable for any damages arising from your use of this website.
10. Changes to These Terms
CCS may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
